The feature film that I worked costume and art dept. on, DESERTION, will be premiering at the La Femme Film Festival on
Saturday October 18th at 4PM at the Wilshire Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills. 9.26.08
DESERTION, the woman who had everything leaves it all behind to discover the
life she always wanted. From the high profile job, luxurious home, and the
artist husband, it looked like Jane had it all, until the one day when the
cracks in her picture perfect life start to show and she must desert it all to
rediscover herself. DESERTION stars Kim Rhodes (The Suite Life of Zach and
Cody), Brian Krause (Charmed), Robert Maschio (Scrubs), Patricia Belcher
(Bones/Jeepers Creepers), and Bart Johnson (High School Musical).
More information can be found at www.lafemme.org. This film festival is all
about empowering women in the film industry and therefore seemed like the
perfect place to premiere DESERTION. Tickets are $10. I hope you can come out
and support this feature film debut. Please pass this on to anyone that might be

New News!!
MyaLuise has recently donated 8 pieces (7 earring sets and 1 necklace) for an event held to benefit Miseracordia in the Chicago area. All pieces sold! The Swarovski pieces were apparently a hit! Now get yourself over to the store and pick some up for yourself! (I dont make those too often anymore). Yay!
This is the new logo for MyaLuise. I felt that it was important to have a trademark to track pieces throughout times and locations. The concept behind this new design is the image of a crop circle. It is combining my midwestern upbringing, and the mystery behind each and every piece I create. I believe that a good design consists of mediums and techniques that remain a mystery. I love getting the reaction of " Wow- how'd you DO that" from my work. Beauty and mystery- as one.
